Stehr Consulting is gathering perspectives from across industry about the current status of maritime autonomy globally on behalf of the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) Maritime Autonomy Assurance Testbed (MAAT). Aims and Purpose
The aim of this survey is to gather the perspectives and views from across industry around how maritime autonomy, and the supporting systems and technologies, are tested, researched, regulated and implemented.  It is hoped that your insight into the international landscape is invaluable and will build our understanding further for this project. Please provide as much or as little information as you can or wish, any input is deeply appreciated.

What we want from you: Your perspectives, views and understanding of the maritime autonomy international landscape, where there are points of interest, friction areas, or success stories when it comes to trials, development and regulatory environments that vary between nations involved in maritime autonomy.

How we will use your responses: Any responses to this form will be used to:

  1. Inform our understanding of the international maritime autonomy landscape
  2. Inform our selection of specific countries to investigate in further detail
  3. Describe the viewpoint of certain organisations and groups of organisations to share with our customer

It will not be used to state the opinions of any individual or group of organisation(s) as fact or explicitly name any organisation or group of organisations.

Data Protection and Privacy

Data Protection: Any information provided in this form will be managed according to Stehr Consulting Ltd’s Data Protection Policies, which can be shared upon request. The form itself will be supported through the Stehr Consulting Microsoft Forms service, and the responses collated in a single Excel Spreadsheet that will also remain on our SharePoint.

On their request, the project client may receive a copy of the data from this from, but prior to release, any identifiable data will be removed, and only an anonymised form will be shared. On request, you may rescind your permission for the information provided to be stored or managed by Stehr Consulting, and your permission will be inferred initially through completion and submission of this form. To facilitate this, please provide the name of your organisation, as we won’t have details of who submitted each response. Upon project completion, the resultant data from this form will be archived according to Stehr Consulting Best Practice.

All responses will be retained and managed only by the Stehr Consulting and NPL project teams and will not be shared publicly. Any information provided will be anonymised to produce an overall summary of the information provided.
