RAD PROPULSION
We supported RAD Propulsion with its Innovate UK grant for the Maritime Data Exchange Enhancement Project (MDEEP). MDEEP will identify existing Vessel-to-Everything (V2X) data exchange standards, explore challenges in the application to the marine domain, and explore solutions to enhance data exchange.
UNCREWED SURVEY SOLUTIONS
We were proud to partner with Uncrewed Survey Solutions (USS) on a ground-breaking project ‘Unlocking the Potential for ‘Mini-MASS’ in UK Waters.’ This innovative initiative, funded by Innovate UK under the Launchpad: Marine and Maritime in the Great South West – R1 MFA competition, aims to revolutionise the smaller Marine Autonomous Surface Ship (MASS) market.
BRITISH STANDARDS INSTITUTION
Our team provided subject matter expertise in maritime decarbonisation to support the scoping phase of the British Standards Institution (BSI) Clean Maritime Standardization Programme. The programme aims to identify where there are opportunities for standardisation to support the transition to a cleaner maritime sector.
UNIVERSITY OF EXETER
We supported the Centre for Future Mobility at the University of Exeter and the wider consortium on the Clean Maritime element of the Regulators’ Pioneer Fund (RPF) Maritime Regulatory Innovation Framework (MRIF) project. Titled ‘Developing Regulatory Frameworks to Support Maritime Innovation,’ This initiative aims to develop a Regulatory Framework Proposal that facilitates the testing of clean propulsion systems on prototype vessels, supporting safe, efficient, and cost-effective research and development.
SULMARA
We continue to deliver expert Advisory Services, Assurance, and Regulatory Support to Sulmara across various Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) initiatives and activities.
UNIVERSITY OF PLYMOUTH
We supported another strand of the Maritime Regulatory Innovation Framework (MRIF) project, led by the University of Plymouth and Plymouth Marine Laboratory. This aspect focuses on Marine Autonomy, aiming to promote the testing and demonstration of technologies at various locations across the UK. The goal is to create a safety framework that effectively manages risks by introducing operational mitigations, thereby reducing the assurance burden.
